Ed Woodward, deputy chairman, published his plans to provide the club’s content of Manchester United to fans in 160 countries. Woodward announced that the monthly price would range from £ 1.49 to £ 4.99. This covers the live feeds of MUTV as well as additional features for fans to take advantage of.

Manchester United is expanding its international business

This app is another indicator of how ManU wants to expand its business. Due to TV rights deals with the Premier League, the app will not be available in the UK. In addition, ManU will not launch the app in countries where there may be conflicts of interest with existing sponsors.

“We provide access to a constant MUFC 24-hour TV channel stream, as well as on-demand content from selected documentary series, studio shows, past matches and classics,” says Ed Woodward.

“We have the opportunity to build a global customer base to measure their behavior within the app, test it and optimize our marketing. It is something from which we expect sustainable growth. We believe Mobile will be even more important in this industry. We must also be measured against these expectations.”
